For a short Copenhagen stay, compare the complete journey to the hotel before comparing room rates. A hotel near a direct airport metro stop can be useful with luggage or a late arrival. A room described as central may still involve a transfer and a walk; map the actual entrance, not just the neighbourhood.
Airport connection
The airport metro station adjoins Terminal 3. Copenhagen Airport gives about 15 minutes for the ride between the airport and Nørreport, not for the whole door-to-door journey. Add time to leave the aircraft, collect bags, buy a ticket and reach the hotel. Overnight trains are less frequent, so check the service for your arrival time.
The last part of the journey
A base near Nørreport suits a trip built around public transport and central walks. Near Kongens Nytorv, check the walking route to your chosen address rather than assuming every waterfront hotel is next to a station. If your plans centre on Central Station, compare the airport train route as well as the metro. These are planning choices, not hotel recommendations or price rankings.
Early flights and practical details
For an early return flight, work backwards from the airline’s check-in deadline. Confirm the first useful service and leave a buffer for walking and disruption. Ask the hotel about late reception, luggage storage and step-free access if needed. A car is generally an extra responsibility for a city-only stay; consider one for an onward itinerary only after checking parking and rental terms.
